Founded in 2006, Burleigh Cricket Club is one of the newest clubs to the Gold Coast Cricket Competition fielding sides across junior, senior and masters’ competitions.
After having some limited success in lower grades at the conclusion of the 2011/12 season Burleigh were crowned 2nd Grade Premiers and was invited to participate in the Cricket Gold Coast’s 1st Grade competition the following season, which sees the best twelve clubs from across the Gold Coast region compete for the Kookaburra Cup.
The 2017/18 season was a landmark in the club’s history with 1st Grade, 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade all qualifying for finals cricket with 1st Grade achieving the ultimate and winning the coveted Kookaburra Cup for the first time in the club’s history thus completing a meteoric rise for the club since its humble beginnings twelve seasons earlier.
At the close of the 2020/21 season the club had 225 active members across both juniors and seniors fielding five (5) senior teams and fourteen (14) junior teams and thus making it one of the largest junior clubs in the Gold Coast region. The club will be looking for continual improvement both on and off the field into the 2021/22 season

Burleigh Cricket Club is currently fielding 5 grades in the men’s competition, 1 masters cricket team, 12 junior teams and a combination of over 200 players.
